The Sails Nelson Booking Policies

1.	Cancellation and refund policy Cancellations; Seasonal changes to the cancellation policy apply to all reservations. Reservations between 1st November and 31st April will be charged 3 days prior to arrival the total charge of the room tariff with the booking credit card. Reservations between 1st May and 31st October will be charged the day prior to arrival the total charge of the room tariff with the booking credit card. Cancellations within the charged period will be refunded if the room/s resell. All resold cancellations will incur a 20% fee Special conditions apply to group quotations/reservations and conference bookings. Reservations of 10 or more nights will be charged a 25% booking deposit 1 month out prior with booking credit card. All reservations require authorisation of a valid credit card past the date of arrival.
2.	Arrival and departure Check-in is available from 2pm on the day of your arrival. Check-out time is 10am on the day of your departure. Early check-in and/or check-out is by arrangement only. A late checkout fee will be charged. If you are arriving after 6.00pm please contact us directly to indicate your arrival time and to access your suite. 24 hours a day reception.
3.	Room service Each suite will be serviced daily ensuring your room is kept to the The Sails Motel standard. Daily servicing of your room ensures your bathroom and mini bar is refreshed if needed. Your bed will not be straightened daily if personal items are left on the bed. On a long period stay a full cleaning service will be carried out on every 3rd day of the occupation.
4.	Payments Reservations between 1st November and 31st April will be charged 3 days prior to arrival the total charge of the room tariff with the booking credit card. Reservations between 1st May and 31st October will be charged the day prior to arrival the total charge of the room tariff with the booking credit card.
5.	Changes in reservation term Any change in reservation term will be treated as a new booking any deals or promotions agreed to on the original booking may not apply to the new booking. Any alteration to a booking is subject to availability of rooms. Earlier departure than the reserved date may not result in a refund.
6.	Visitors No visitors or large gatherings are allowed in rooms before 8am or after 10pm. We request any visitors park on Wainui Street as we supply one car park per suite within the complex.
7.	Loss of income charge For any reason that your room cannot be re-let after your departure due to damage, odorous smells from cooking or smoking in the room or damage to the property then you may be charged appropriate cleaning and loss of income charges.
8.	Smoking and Cooking Smells For the comfort of other guests strong odorous foods are not permitted to be cooked or consumed in your suite. ie Seafood or Fish,Garlic, Onions etc. The Sails Nelson is a total smoke free complex and as such no smoking is allowed within the complex boundary or any or the suites.
9.	Pets We are unable to accommodate pets but we are happy to provide you with a list of local pet accommodation facilities.
